My Journey to Blogging

It’s been a little over 1 month since I started my blog, so I thought it would be the perfect time to share my story of how I got here and decided to start this blog!

For about the past year and a half, every night, I would pretend as though I am talking to an audience, perhaps a YouTube audience. I would talk about different things like success, motivation, true friends vs toxic friends, family, and so many other things.

About 3-4 months ago, I realized that my words should really be put somewhere, to a real audience, rather than a fake one. Starting a YouTube channel to talk about this crossed my mind at one point, and it was definitely something I considered for almost a week, but I felt it was way out of my comfort zone to do so. I kept thinking of ways to make my voice heard, and one night, when I was lying down in bed, the thought of blogging randomly crossed my mind. I loved the idea that instant so I got up, picked up a piece of paper, and wrote the word blog on it, so I wouldn’t forget when I woke up the next morning.

The next day, during dinner, I told my family how I wanted to start a blog. My dad loved the idea. He felt that it would be a great way for me to make my voice heard and would help me grow as a person from it. He pushed me and asked me every day how far I got with creating the blog.

After 2 weeks of website creation, I finally finished and published my blog and first post. I have loved the journey so far and, though it’s really early, I really feel like I have grown from this. Whenever I have no motivation to work, or do anything, I just come on here and write a post. I don’t do this for anyone, no profit, nothing. I just do it to spread my word and to hopefully, motivate anyone who needs it.
